Turn Your One-Pager into a Viral Pitch Video in 30 Minutes

Video Converts. Text Scrolls.

A written one-pager is portable and skimmable. A video one-pager is unforgettable. Founders who send a 60-second video alongside their written pitch see response rates 2-3x higher than text-only outreach. Video travels into Slack messages, gets forwarded to partners, and gets talked about in meetings. Text sits in an inbox.

The barrier was always production: hiring a videographer, renting a studio, editing. Today, a one-pager-to-video pipeline takes thirty minutes and costs nothing. Here is how to build it.

The three-tool approach

The fastest path to a professional pitch video uses three complementary tools:

  • Step 1: One-pager (Gamma or Notion) — your written narrative.
  • Step 2: AI voice (ElevenLabs) — turn the one-pager into an audio script.
  • Step 3: Video generator (VideoGen or D-ID) — turn the narration + images into a polished video.

The whole workflow is: one-pager → script → voice → video. Total time: 20–30 minutes. Cost: near zero if you use free tiers.

Step 1: Start with a tight one-pager or script

If you do not have a one-pager yet, write one following the structure from our companion post. Keep it to 300–400 words. Read it aloud: if you stumble, rewrite the sentence. Video exposes awkward phrasing immediately.

Step 2: Convert to a video script

A video script is slightly different from a written one-pager. It should be conversational, use shorter sentences, and avoid acronyms (unless you spell them out). Take your one-pager and do three things:

  • Break long sentences into short ones.
  • Replace any abbreviations with spoken words (write "twelve thousand" not "12K").
  • Add intentional pauses (one per paragraph) where you would naturally breathe.

The result should be 200–250 words — a 60-second read at natural speaking pace.

Step 3: Generate the narration

ElevenLabs is the standard for AI voice. Paste your script, pick a voice, set stability (lower for warmer, higher for more formal), and download the audio file. Listen and iterate if something does not land. A good tip: match the voice to your audience. A seed investor pitch and a Gen-Z consumer app should not sound identical.

Step 4: Create the video

Now you have narration. You need visuals. Two tools excel at script-to-video:

VideoGen — Best for auto-generated visuals

VideoGen turns your script into a video with AI-generated scenes, text overlays, and background music. Paste your script, select a style (corporate, creative, energetic), and it builds the whole thing. You can then upload your ElevenLabs audio to replace the default narration. Export as MP4 for YouTube or LinkedIn.

D-ID — Best for founder presence

D-ID creates videos with a talking head — either an AI avatar or a video of you. If you want the video to feel more personal (your face, your voice), D-ID lets you record a short intro and then pairs it with your ElevenLabs narration and visuals. The result feels like you are pitching, not a robot reading slides.

The full 30-minute workflow

  • Minutes 1–5: Polish your one-pager into a video script (200–250 words).
  • Minutes 6–12: Generate narration with ElevenLabs. Listen once, regenerate if needed.
  • Minutes 13–25: Use VideoGen or D-ID to create the video with visuals and music.
  • Minutes 26–30: Export, test on mobile, and upload to YouTube as unlisted or public.

Where to distribute your pitch video

  • Outbound email: Embed a link to your video in investor cold emails. A thumbnail + a link stands out.
  • LinkedIn: Upload natively. LinkedIn's algorithm favors video, and founders scroll their feeds.
  • Your landing page: A 60-second pitch video above the fold converts better than text.
  • Slack / Discord: Share in founder communities. A polished pitch video gets discussed.
  • Demo days: Some accelerators let finalists share pitch videos alongside their deck.

Pro tips for viral pitch videos

  • Hook in the first three seconds. The first words out of the narrator's mouth should grab attention or curiosity.
  • Use silence strategically. One or two pauses (1–2 seconds) make the narration feel less robotic and let important points land.
  • Match music to mood. If your tool lets you choose background music, pick something that reinforces the tone.
  • End with a CTA. "Schedule a demo" or "Join the waitlist" — do not just stop.
  • Keep it under 90 seconds. A 60-second pitch is perfect. Anything over 90 seconds loses attention.

Try Emerge Tech's video generator

Emerge Tech's Video Summary Generator lets you paste your one-pager text and receive a narrated video with captions and visuals. It is a fast way to see your pitch idea come to life before committing to a full production.

Upgrade to Scaler for advanced video features: custom branding, analytics (see how long viewers watch), A/B testing (compare two pitch videos), and priority processing.

Iteration is the secret

Because this workflow is fast, you can iterate. Send a pitch video to five advisors. Get feedback. Regenerate a new version the next day with updated messaging. That velocity is impossible with traditional video production.
